Looking at the 2022 BRICS Summit with Gideon Chitanga

BRICS leaders have forged a united front as one of their fellow members, Russia, is under siege. The West has imposed sanctions on Moscow after it invaded Ukraine. The BRICS high level meeting is currently being held virtually in China. Chinese President Xi Jinping says BRICS countries, South Africa, India, China, Brazil and Russia must rise to the occasion. South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has also emphasised the need for peaceful resolutions to global conflicts.
