The ANC has convened a virtual special National Executive Committee meeting.
The governing party says this is part of the decision of the last National Working Committee to process a number of organisational matters.
The meeting comes a day after the release of the fifth and final report into State Capture.
Meanwhile, the ANC in Gauteng says those who will be elected as the new leadership will have the mammoth task of uniting the ANC and arresting declining support in the province. The 14th provincial conference will sit over this weekend in Benoni and party President; Cyril Ramaphosa will close it on Sunday.
