The City of Johannesburg is planning to beef up security measures at its waste-management sites. This, was after two people were murdered at the Robinson Deep landfill. Two waste reclaimers were shot dead in an alleged turf war between rival waste picking groups last week. Johannesburg MMC for Environment Infrastructure Service Michael Sun has urged police and metro police to conduct random searches at the city’s facilities. Sun joins me now for more.
