A Citizens Coalition for Change – CCC reported heavy police deployment in Nyatsime today around Moreblessing Ali’s residence, characterising it as never witnessed before in the country.
They say a large Zanu PF crowd at Moreblessing Ali’s homestead hijacked the funeral and blocked CCC supporters from entering the premises.
Reports say a local Zanu PF councillor, Masimba Masimba publicly announced that the funeral would not go ahead if CCC officials attended. The body of Moreblessing Ali, 46, was recovered from a well at a farming community in Beatrice after the activist disappeared two weeks ago.
