SA Navy expected to commission the first of three multi-mission inshore patrol vessels in Durban

The SA Navy is expected to commission the first of three multi-mission inshore patrol vessels at Salisbury Island Naval base in Durban today. This is the first time since 1986 that a South African Navy warship was built in South Africa for South Africa. The SAS King Sekhukhune the first will be operated by Commander Jabulani Donald Mashamba. The vessel is expected to strengthen the inshore patrolling capability of the SA Navy.
