The Reserve Bank of Australia’s Governor Philip Lowe is conceding he doesn’t know how high interest rates will go before the end of the year.
Speaking to the ABC, Mr Lowe said he expects inflation to reach seven per cent by Christmas and will do what’s necessary to get it back within a two-to-three per cent band.
