Parliament misses deadline to amend Electoral Act: One SA's Mudzuli Rakhivane

The One SA Movement voiced its discontent this week about Parliament missing an earlier deadline to amend the Electoral Act. Two years ago the Constitutional Court handed down judgment and ruled the Electoral Act is unconstitutional since it does not allow for independent candidates to be elected to Provincial Legislatures and the National Assembly.
The deadline to change the law was yesterday. But the court has now granted Parliament a new deadline in December.
