Residents of Mangaung in Bloemfontein have embarked on a clean-up campaign at South Park cemetery and at a nearby landfill site.
This after a series of complaints that the Mangaung metro municipality had failed to act on time, leading to waste being dumped in front of the cemetery.
The situation was worsened by the metro’s failure to collect refuse timeously.
