
Water and Sanitation Minister, Senzo Mchunu, says an intervention plan is in place to avoid the looming day zero in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape. The water supply outlook for nearly half of the metro remains bleak as the combined level of its five supply dams is sitting at just over 12 percent.
The dams supply water to more than 40 percent of the metro.
