The ANC has started to engage stakeholders on its Economic Transformation and Battle of Ideas policy papers ahead of its policy conference set for the end of July. It plans to call on a cross-section of society to provide input on its policy ideas, to aid in their shape and direction.
It says its policy positions emanate from the Freedom Charter, which speaks about all citizens sharing in the wealth of the country. The ANC says energy security is a key priority, as are the usual scourges of unemployment, poverty and inequality. Nompumelelo Siziba filed this report.
