The Mafube business forum says it’s happy there will be transparency in the Mafube municipality’s financial affairs. For years, residents there have been disadvantaged by maladministration and a lack of accountability by municipality officers. The Free State high court recently ruled that Premier Sisi Ntombela was obliged to place the embattled municipality under compulsory administration. This follows a court application by AfriForum and the Mafube Business Forum on behalf of residents.
