KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala and a number of MECs are today expected to give a clear picture of the extent of damage weekend floods have caused in the province.
They will lead relief efforts and they will interact with people who have been working around the clock to deal with the unfolding situation.
Hundreds of people have meanwhile been evacuated to safety after heavy rains once again hammered the province, flooding roads and houses, and damaging properties
Last month’s deadly floods claimed the lives of 448 people, and caused widespread destruction.
Meanwhile, a child has gone missing in Umlazi in Durban following the torrential rains.
