Impacts of China's pursuit of zero-COVID policy: Gideon Chitanga

A head of an early learning at an international school in Guangzhou, China, says they are acutely aware of challenges facing schools to both recruit new staff and retain students. This as foreign families leave China in droves amid China’s pursuit of zero-COVID. According to data from separate studies conducted by the British Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools, around 40% of international teachers will leave their posts in mainland China this year. In a normal year, the turnover for teachers sits around 15%.
