Ugandan scientists are worried that the country could be faced with new Omicron variants. Scientists are now investigating whether some of the new deaths in the country are being caused by new variants such as BA.4 and BA.5. Meanwhile, Professor Pontiano Kaleebu the Director of the Uganda Virus Research Institute says there has been no such finding.
