The East London Regional court has granted Walter Sisulu University student, Sibongile Mani, permission to appeal her five-year sentence, but denied the application to appeal the conviction. The matter relates to the R14 million NSFAS money which was erroneously deposited into her account in 2017.
She spent over R800 000 of that money.
