The life of people living with disabilities in rural areas continues to be a struggle. 50-year-old Luvuyo Gwadiso is blind and lives in deplorable conditions in the small village of Ntlanganisweni. He uses stones as his bed and his house is covered with plastic to keep the elements out.
Villagers are concerned for his well-being and he is solely dependent on handouts from neighbours. Villagers hope that the government will intervene. Nkululeko Nyembezi filed this report.
