
Challenges preventing Eskom from providing constant electricity have gone from bad to worse. Eskom ramped up load shedding to stage 4 from this morning, saying it is because of further deterioration of generation capacity. The power utility says the rain over the weekend made things worse. It says the purpose of load shedding is to protect the overall integrity of the system from total blackout.
