The anti-foreign sentiment is the 'legacy of colonialism and apartheid': Dr Mathole Motshekga

This week the Institute for Security Studies said the Public Violence Monitor had recorded more than 250 xenophobic attacks and related incidents in over eight years. This comes in the wake of alleged xenophobic violence in Diepsloot, in Johannesburg, which claimed the life of a Zimbabwean national, Elvis Nyathi.

It is an issue that received attention over the years but seems to keep surfacing.
