Eskom Chief Executive Officer André de Ruyter and his management team will this morning brief the media on the current system challenges.
The briefing comes after the power utility has announced that Stage 2 rolling blackouts will continue until 5 o’clock on Friday morning.
Eskom says the extension of the power cuts is due to the failure of additional units – as well as the continued delays in returning to service of other generating units.
