The fraud, money laundering, and corruption trial of former President Jacob Zuma get underway today at the High Court in Pietermaritzburg. Zuma’s latest bid to have lead prosecutor Billy Downer removed from his trial failed after the Supreme Court of Appeal dismissed it, late last month.
