SARS breaks revenue record by collecting R1.5 trillion in 2021/2022 financial year

The South African Revenue Service has announced that it has collected a record R1.5 trillion for the 2021/22 financial year. This includes R314 billion in additional revenue, over and above what was projected in the previous financial year. The main source of revenue came from Personal Income Tax, VAT, company tax and customs duties.
