Two learners from Gauteng pass away after allegedly drowning during a rugby tour to Durban

Two boys from Hoërskool Birchleigh in Kempton Park have passed away after allegedly drowning at the beach during a rugby tour to Durban. The learners and several teachers went swimming at Durban North Beach, where some learners were reportedly assisted to shore by lifeguards after experiencing challenges. It was then discovered that two learners were missing during a headcount. The search went on until the evening with no success. The bodies of the Grade 10 and 12 learners were recovered this morning.
