The family of Tebogo Mabunda is confident her husband will receive a hefty sentence. Mugiyo Mabunda is accused of fatally shooting Tebogo at their home in Mbombela, Mpumalanga two years ago. It is alleged that the former police officer shot his wife ten times during an argument.
The trial, which was characterised by postponements, saw testimonies from Tebogo’s son and her lawyer among others.
The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court has postponed the case to Tuesday for heads of arguments.
