
Displaced foreign nationals at the small town of Bredasdorp are seeking refuge following clashes with locals on Thursday and Friday.
Some of those who are displaced are now staying at local churches and municipal offices. Local media reports suggest clashes erupted after locals from Zwelitsha township targetted shops owned by foreign nationals.
A large group of foreign nationals continue to be accommodated in a community hall and a mosque in Zwelitsha.
There’s a heavy police presence in the area.
