The Mukumbani Tea Estate outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo struggles to make sales and also to get tea brand to the shelves. This despite that it is placed under Limpopo Economic Development Agency.
The tea estate was revitalised in 2006 after it was left bushy by Sapekoe, stating that black tea market is no longer profitable. Government had invested more than 200-million in the estate tea in a bid to rehabilitate it.
SABC News reporter Michael Makungo is covering the story for us from Thohoyandou.
