Public Protector inspects Eastern Cape's Lesseyton stadium over procurement irregularities

The investigation into procurement irregularities relating to the infamous Lesseyton stadium near Komani in the Eastern Cape is gaining momentum. Public Protector, Advocate Busisiwe Mkwebane has led a team of investigators who inspected the stadium. The facility was built at a cost of 15-million rand by the Enoch Mgijima municipality.
And there was outrage when it was unveiled, as the cost did not appear to match the facilities.
