Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula will today conduct an oversight visit to Driving Licence Testing Centres in Gauteng. The minister is expected to speak on the approaching deadline for the extension of licence validity and other related issues. The visit comes at the time when several licensing centres across the city have been forced to close their doors and stop operations due to protests. The changes made to Gauteng’s driver’s license and testing booking system which blocks third parties from booking services on behalf of individuals or groups have left many groups and individuals dissatisfied.
