ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to visit Mpumalanga to engage with the organisation’s structures. Ramaphosa’s visit is part of the ANC’s consultation with structures on the party’s electoral fortunes in last year’s local government elections. Mpumalanga has also faced challenges of violence in the party’s branch meetings and the Provincial Executive Committee converted into a Provincial Task Team after its term of office ended.
