Kenya’s position on the Russian invasion is in line with the principles of the Organisation of African Unity’s founding fathers, according to Kenyan historian and International Relations Expert Prof. Macharia Munene.
At the United Nations Security Council, Kenya’s Permanent Representative Dr. Martin Kimani won praise urged the world to embrace multilaterism, which Prof Munene says is among the founding tenets of the OAU, which has since been replaced by the African Union. He however argues that the West failed Ukraine by encouraging what he says were direct provocations on Russia.
