
Ukraine Security Council has approved plans to declare a nationwide state of emergency in all its territories in response to the growing threat of a Russian Invasion. This is apart from the breakaway Donetsk and Luhansk regions where a state of emergency has been in place since 2014. Pro-Russian separatists have controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk since 2014. Russia recognised them as independent states on Monday.
