
The South African Communist Party (SACP) says President Cyril Ramaphosa’s statement during the State of the Nation address, that the government does not create employment does not include the party.
The party also disputed the President’s assertion that the South African economy benefited from a clear and stable macro-economic framework in 2021. The SACP says it was in the third quarter of 2021 when unemployment rose to its highest levels since 1994. The SACP says the millions of unemployed population in South Africa reflect the failure of the macroeconomic framework and its continuing legacy adopted from 1996.
