The disgraced son of the British Monarch, Prince Andrew, has settled a lawsuit with a woman who accused him of sexual assault. The surprise development came in Manhattan Federal Court after a lawyer for the plaintiff Virginia Giuffre indicated the new deal in a court filing earlier on Tuesday. Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his military titles and royal patronages last month, failed earlier to get the suit tossed out but the "in principle" settlement is the clearest indication yet that the entire cases could be dismissed soon.
