Crime in SA | Western Cape wants more cops

Thembisile Patekile was appointed Police Commissioner of the Western Cape last year – amid years of allegations of corruption and police incompetency in the province. For decades the province has grappled with unbridled gangsterism and violent crime – something police just can’t to seem a grip on. Furthermore, allegations of sexual misconduct against Community Safety MEC Albert Fritz and the gruesome murder of a 13-year-old in Klawer have also put pressure on Patekile and his department. eNCA’s Ronald Masinda sat down with him.
