The Pit Bull Federation of South Africa says the increasing number of children being attacked by Pit Bulls is alarming.
Following a recent incident in Pretoria, there are renewed calls for better regulation of the dogs through ownership permits.
The calls come as a 5-year-old is fighting for her life in the Steve Biko Hospital following a vicious attack by a Pit Bull.
