Nelson Mandela | Marking 32 years since the former president's release from prison: Sello Hatang

Today marks 32 years since the release from prison after 27 years of former President Nelson Mandela. Mandela walked through Victor Verster Prison gate in 1990, setting off joyous celebrations worldwide. In June 1964, he was convicted of sabotage, treason, and violent conspiracy along with several other ANC leaders, and sentenced to life in prison. Mandela spent the first 18 of his 27 years incarcerated on Robben Island. Today we remember his legacy, his resilience and what he meant to South Africans and the world at large. For more on this, we are now joined by Sello Hatang, the CEO of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
