A Durban-based dancer and choreographer Thobile Maphanga is setting her sights on representing South Africa in a prestigious festival in Canada. Maphanga has been chosen to take part in a much respected international festival known as the Atelier for Young Festival Managers in Canada. She made it to the final 35 out of 90 applicants worldwide.
The symposium brings together participants in the arts to discuss a wide range of aspects of festival management with highly acclaimed directors in various fields of festival management.
A back a buddy campaign has been started to help raise funds towards helping Maphanga reach her dream.
