An NGO in Soshanguve had a bleak Christmas this year after the Social Development Department cut its funding due to non-compliance. Owners of the Luvuyo Orphanage Home are accusing the department of ignoring them, after the funding stopped in March last year.
The department says it funds 95-percent of NGOs and says those that did not receive money did not comply with regulations.
