While his stay in Lesotho lasted only two years, it paved the way to his illustrious career and left an indelible mark on Basotho. The iconic freeway in the city Mpilo Boulevard has been named after him. Archbishop Tutu has assisted Lesotho in several political disputes, including guiding the first coalition government in 2012.
