Western Cape housing authorities have warned against land invasions during the holiday season. They say criminals see holidays as an opportunity to invade land or housing units that are currently under construction. The department of human settlements in the province has appealed to all citizens, to ensure that no land invasion attempts are allowed to occur.
Since July 2020, there’ve been more than 1-thousand-6-hundred land invasion attempts on properties throughout the province.
