
More than a hundred people have now died in collisions on the Western Cape roads since the first of December. Nine fatalities were recorded today in two separate incidents. Provincial Minister of Transport, Daylin Mitchell, has urged all road users to travel with caution over the festive period. He visited the Joe Gqabi Public Transport Interchange in Philippi, where he inspected some of the long-distance vehicles and engaged with taxi drivers and commuters.
