The ANC Youth League in Lejwaleputswa region of the Free State has called on the Sedibeng Water board to step down and for the entire management of the entity to be suspended. The league says the recent water cuts in Matjhabeng have shown that both the board and management are incompetent and failing to deliver water as a basic human need.
This comes just before Christmas when families are expected to gather. Sedibeng has cut off the water supply to parts of Matjhabeng and Nala municipalities for over a week due to non-payment.
