Today marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of Wangari Maathai. The Kenyan rose to prominence for her work as a social, environmental, and political activist. She was also the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize. We are honoured tonight to be joined by Wanjira Mathaai, the daughter of Nobel Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai to share some of her late mother’s legacy.
