Mpumalanga grapples with a huge backlog in infrastructure development

Mpumalanga is grappling with a huge backlog in infrastructure development.
Multi-million rand projects have missed completion deadlines and costs have escalated by millions of rands. The Mpumalanga International Fresh Produce Market and Parliamentary village are some of the projects yet to be completed and have gone over budget. Mpumalanga Department of Public Works has moved the deadline of the two projects to next year.
