Judge President Hlophe heads to court over his possible impeachment

Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe has given the Judicial Service Commission, President Cyril Ramaphosa, Justice Minister Ronald Lamola, and National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa Nqakula until the close of business on Monday next week to file their papers. That’s if they intend to oppose his application for an interdict to prevent Ramaphosa from suspending him and to halt the parliamentary process to remove him from office.
