Deputy Minister of Police Cassel Mathale says the government is not losing the fight against Gender-Based Violence and femicide in South Africa. He says government imbizos are instrumental in the healing programmes that have been introduced to help victims.
Mathale attended a ministerial imbizo in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape as part of the police service’s ongoing efforts to reduce gender-based violence. He also used the time to speak to residents on their experiences with gender-based violence.
