The South African Weather Service had warned that another intense cold front would reach South Africa by Thursday.
The SAWS said disruptive snowfalls of 5 to 10 cm are expected from Friday onwards.
This would be over high-lying areas of the Western Cape and the western and southern high-lying areas of the Northern Cape.
