Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has challenged his two-term Deputy William Ruto to resign so that he can run the government with those who agree with his agenda. Speaking on Monday evening to Kenyan media editors Kenyatta, who has evidently fallen out with his deputy, said he has an agenda for the nation, which he would like to complete but argued that Ruto was not keen to work with him in achieving. Ruto is campaigning to succeed his boss who retires in August next year but in a turn of events he is not his boss’s automatic choice of successor and this as well as a political truce between Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga in March 2018, has seen the once bosom buddies read from a different script.
