The department of research and innovation at the National University of Lesotho has made strides towards possible treatment to the COVID-19 ravaging the world. The Council for Research and Industrial Research CSIR (SOUTH AFRICA) has released results confirming that extracts received from the University of Lesotho were active against the two coronaviruses tested and did not show any toxicity invitro.
Dr. Lerato Seleteng-Kose led a research process to explore traditional medicines and the use of modern science to find cures for respiratory-related illnesses tapping from indigenous knowledge.
